Open Anakrio and see the state of your PC in one screen. Everything that matters is a card, and the three buttons you use most are right underneath.
- Known threats: how many signatures are loaded, which version and how old they are.
- Detection rules: how many YARA rules are active, or what is wrong with them.
- Real-time protection: active (and how many folders it watches), turned off or a Pro feature.
- License, last scan and quarantine with the number of files waiting for your decision.

Scan
Scan what you want, when you want
Run a Quick Scan for the places malware usually hides, a Full Scan of every fixed drive, or pick exactly the files and folders you are unsure about.
- Quick Scan: startup items, downloads, the desktop and the main program-data folders, in a minute or two.
- Full Scan (Pro): every file on every fixed drive, with progress and the option to cancel at any time.
- Scan files... and Scan folder... for anything specific, and Scan with Anakrio in the Windows Explorer right-click menu.
- Archives (zip, tar, gz, 7z) are opened and the files inside are checked too.
- Quarantine selected or Quarantine all straight from the results.
Why was this flagged?
Every detection explains itself
When Anakrio flags a file, you do not have to take its word for it. Expand the detection and see exactly which check triggered and why.
- Signature: the file's SHA-256 matches a known threat, and which one.
- YARA: the name and description of the rule that matched.
- Heuristics: the suspicious traits found in the program or script, such as packed code or encoded commands.
- Confident verdicts only: signs add up, and one weak sign alone does not make a file malware.
- Valid digital signatures are taken into account so legitimate software is not condemned on content alone.
Quarantine
Safe storage, easy undo
Dangerous files are locked away, not destroyed behind your back. If Anakrio gets it wrong, you can bring a file back.
- Quarantined files are renamed and locked down so they cannot run.
- Restore a file you trust, or Delete one or all permanently.
- With Pro, threats are stopped, their process ended and the file quarantined automatically. Without Pro, detections wait for your decision.
- Add a restored file under Exclusions so it is not flagged again.
History
A record of what happened
See every scan and every detection, filter the list to what you care about and clear it when you like.
- Filter by All, Scans or Detections.
- The history stays on your PC. Nothing is uploaded.
- Clear history removes it in one click.
Settings
Simple settings, no clutter
Everything you can change fits on one page, with plain-language explanations next to each option.
- License: enter your email and key and click Activate Pro. Renew or Deactivate here, or get a free Pro license.
- General: Start with Windows, Keep running in the notification area, and Quarantine malware automatically.
- Explorer menu: Scan with Anakrio, for you or for all users (asks for administrator rights).
- Exclusions: files and folders you trust that are never scanned.
- Updates: Check for new signatures and Check for a new version.

Pro costs nothing. Register with your name and email, and every row below is unlocked for a year, renewable for free.
